WE STAND BY OUR STRICT POLICIES

We are against trespassing! Our organization and affiliates will only investigate area's with full permission in that is in writing.

All active members of TOP-Org have State ID's filed at the main office and all investigations are lead only by a fully trained and certified DAC (District Area Contact) or affiliate group leader. We also perform background checks on our active members for our clients and our own safety.

We do offer a course on how The Ohio Paranormal Organization conducts investigations. All investigations are FREE, but our course is offered by donation.  If you would like to take our course, please contact DocJ@top-org.net We feel learning is never ending in life.

We have over 120 members and about 40 ACTIVE members through out Ohio. Our goal is to educate and obey the law, while trying to provide some kind of proof that this life isn't all there is. We also feel like the paranormal community is like having a huge extended family.

~ A little about our Founder, Director and Members below~

Jill Semonin PhD - CHt  aka " Doc J "

Organization Founder / Northern Director - Media Bio

Jill started paranormal investigating as a group in 1993. Although Jill has been very spiritual her entire life, what stared her interest in the paranormal was due to having a listing under "spiritualist" in the phone book. She owned a metaphysical store in downtown Barberton.  Jill has since closed that portion of her business, but kept the group going. The original groups name has changed twice, due to growth, but the members have remained, so we are still together.

Jill is the Host known as "Doc J" on the talk show, "Lets Talk Ghosts". This show airs LIVE every Thursday night at 8pm Eastern Time.

The last twenty years of  Jill's life has been constant school for many various things, and she still continues to cover both secular and non-secular studies.

Sandy G - (DAC 3)

Hello, I have been with TOP-Org not quite from the beginning, but close. I live in Parma Ohio and have participated in many investigations through out the years with this group. I am also the Co-Host of our Talk Show called "Lets Talk Ghosts".

Mary Lucas (DAC 3)

I live in Akron Ohio and have been with TOP-Org for about a year. I have always had an interest in all things paranormal, for a very long time and love to do group investigations. This gives me the opportunity to learn and develop more skills in the field of paranormal research. Some question If I am a medium, but all I know is that I do have some connection with the paranormal, so I would say that I am sensitive. I have been able to wittiness a lot of paranormal activity, with the group TOP-Org and in the past with my ghost hunting friends. I would say my favorite haunted places would be Gettysburg Pa ,and Savannah Ga,

Faye Paulette Bishop (District 5)

I'm (FAYE) Paulette Bishop, 57 years old, married to a very understanding man; I'm the Assistant Lead of the Ohio Valley Ghost Hunters, District 5 of The Ohio Paranormal Organization. I've always been interested in the paranormal and about 4-5 years ago my sister and I found this group that helped me to expand my knowledge in the scientific study of ghosts and spirits.  Today I am on the board of directors of the Prospect Place in Trinway, Ohio, and continue to study ways in which to communicate and photograph ghosts as well as practice the use Native American saging techniques to heal homes of persons who feel threatened by unknown invaders of their living space. My favorite methods of investigating involve my digital camera, voice recorders, my pendulum and talking board, my infrared monocular, and my Cell Sensor.  I feel I'm still honing my skills but still love to gather together with others and share and learn new techniques of paranormal investigating.

Sandy A (DAC 2)

Hello, I am a mother of one daughter. I have been with TOP-Org for a long long time. I currently live near Cleveland Ohio and really enjoy everything in the paranormal field. I do consider myself a sensitive and I am a very spiritual person. The picture on the main site of our yahoo group is the one I caught on film, using a 35mm camera. It was taken at the Buxton Inn.

Laury Angel
Mason Ohio (District 7)

I have been fascinated with the subject of the paranormal for as long as I can remember. My mother was very psychic, however she never really used her ability and when she did it was only to keep us kids in line and keep us wondering how she knew what we were going to do before we did it lol. She used to say it was only mother's intuition but when I was older I began to realize there was more to it than that. I also began to realize that not only I, but my two other sisters as well had the same ability.
The experiences I have had in the past (and the not so past) led me to looking for answers. I began to learn that I was a sensitive. I also have precognitive vision.
For a very very long time I kept my abilities to myself for fear of being labeled a loon. I did my research in books and pretty much kept that to myself as well. I never spoke of my experiences or what I learned about myself to anyone except my mother who told me to mind what I said to others because kids can be cruel in matters such as this. So I listened.

It wasn't until after seeing Ghost Hunters for the first time did I began to realize that here these guys are on national television hunting ghosts and I'm worried about someone thinking I'm crazy...lol.  So I started branching out from library books to Internet forums on the subject of the paranormal. I posted in several different forums. But to my dismay the majority of them were way out of state or just way out there. Which neither is a bad thing, I was just looking for people who were closer to where I live as well as how I thought, so to speak lol. So back to surfing the net I went and that is when I came across TOP-Org and where I stayed.

I have since started my own paranormal investigation team. We are called The Ohio Ghost-hunters Association or TOGA for short. Our first investigation was comprised of myself and my daughter Lacey (who is our paranormal Photographer ). We went to a friends home that she claimed is haunted. It was more of a practice investigation for us, mostly because we didn't have much experience or equipment for that matter. The only thing we were able to witness was upon leaving a room with the basement door open, only to return minutes later it had closed apparently on its own and the door stop removed. Pretty interesting stuff.

Our next investigation was at the TOP-Org Conference 2007 at Prospect Place where I brought along fellow TOGA member Michele. I realized during my time there that TOP-Org is a great mix of different people, not just fellow investigators but also friends. I have since taken my team to various other locations such as The Patterson Homestead where we accompanied ParaVisions for an investigation on the eve of Halloween. We came away with a few good photos and a EVP.  We also joined ParaVisions and members of SWOPS to investigate the Amber Rose Restaurant. It was there that I learned that I am very sensitive to very high EMF's. I ended up leaving the Amber Rose with a splitting headache that ended in a nose bleed. Needless to say I doubt I'll be returning there any time soon. Both ParaVizionz, and SWOPS are TOP-Org affiliates too.

I have taken my team to a few outdoor locations such as the area behind the lake where I live where we captured the "Teddy Bear" orb on digital camera.

We have also visited the Screaming Bridge on Maude Hughes Road in West Chester Ohio, Morningstar Road in Carlise, and the walking trail around the Peter's Cartridge Company in Kings Mills. My sister Kim (who is also a lead investigator with TOGA) and I both attended an investigation along with several other TOP-Org members at the Daily Grind in East Canton Ohio. While there we got to experience a variety of activity as well as work with our skills, mine as a sensitive and Kim learning more of her ability as a medium.

I am so glad to have stumbled across TOP-Org while searching the web. I believe that this is a very diverse and yet unique group if individuals. Not only do we all share the same love for the paranormal, but also each of us has something to offer one another by teaching each other as well as learning from one another. I myself am very glad to get to be a part of it.

Karyn Gaugler (DAC 3)

Hi, my name is Karyn and I currently live in Barberton, Ohio...I have been with TOP-Org for a little over a year. I have been interested in the paranormal for some time now, but had not been active in investigating until joining the group. I have been on many investigations with the group, and I have a few fellow ghost hunting friends who I do hunts with also. Close places of interest/haunts have mainly been where I've concentrated, but there are several places that I would love to go to-New Orleans is one that I am planning to go to this May. No Special talents to speak of yet, however I have learned so much since joining the group. I have gotten better at the whole "debunking" type thing, that's something I feel I am getting much better at. Favorites places, so far, have been Savannah, GA  and West Virginia Penitentiary in Moundsville, WV.

Adrianne Leigh Marko (DAC 3)

Hello...I'm Adrianne in Akron, Ohio and have been a member of TOP-Org for about a year. I have been interested in paranormal investigations prior to joining, but my training has most certainly helped me learn how to do things the "right" way. I, too, enjoy spending "Haunted Sundays" with my close friends in the group.  I am looking forward to going to Bobby Mackey's in February 08 and New Orleans in May 08 for some investigating. I also would like to get more adept at picking up images with my camera, as I've always had an interest in photography, too.  When I'm not investigating, I deliver mail, generally in the central area of Akron.  Looking forward to meeting group members I've not yet been acquainted with...take care!  ~

Audrey Thomas (District 7)

I am from Huber Heights, Ohio, where I have lived most of my life. I have been married for almost 11 years, and my husband and I have three children. We have also been foster parents for the past five years for Montgomery County Children’s Services. I have had an interest in the paranormal since I was young; I have always wanted to know more. It was my own personal experiences that led me to become a paranormal investigator. I have been a member of TOP-Org since August of 2007. I love to research paranormal activity in order to gain all the knowledge I can. I look forward to future investigation with members of TOP-Org, and I look forward to getting to know everyone. Some of my other interests include history, old houses, museums, and old cemeteries and burial grounds. A friend and I have recently started Paranormal Adventures; a team of investigators in the Dayton area, and we hope to keep busy with many investigations this year.

J. VanGordon (Out of state member)

My name is Jeff, I'm 33 and live in Cortland, NY. My interest in the paranormal goes back as far as I can remember. I have seen several things over the years that I have to believe to be paranormal. I am an ordained minister who knows that there are spirits that live among us. I am new to the investigation of the paranormal and feel a need to learn all I can.

Sally W (District 3)
I find the paranormal fascinating; I saw my first ghost at age 5 and have been seeing them ever since.  I've been ghost hunting for about 25 years, always finding them in friends' & family's homes.  I'm "sensitive", sometimes getting information from the ghosts, sometimes not.  My only goals are to enjoy the hunt and learn as much as possible.

Lee Allen - ParaVizionz (District 7)

Hi, my name is Lee Allen, founder of ParaVizionz. I live in Miamisburg, Ohio. I work in the fire protection field for my full time job. I have been married to my soul mate Jenn for eight years. I became interested in paranormal investigating by reading books and watching Ghost Hunters. A friend of mine invited me to Moundsville Penitentiary for my first ghost hunt and I have been hooked ever since.

Lots more to come soon~.
